2-deoxy-D-glucose Anti coronavirus or 2-DG drug developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories will be launched in the Indian market tomorrow. The Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be distributing the 10,000 2-deoxy-D-glucose Anti coronavirus drug to the hospitals in Delhi. The drug will help to stop the growth of the Covid-19 virus inside the body. The 2-DG oral medicine can be taken twice a day with water. The patients have to continue the 2-DG medicine for 5-7 days to completely get rid of the deadly Covid-19 virus. Currently in India the Covid-19 positive patients are treated using Plasma therapy, Remdevisir and steroids by the doctors.
