The Left Democratic Front (LDF) party won the election with high number of seats, the United Democratic Front (UDF) with 41 seats and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) by closing an existing account in Kerala Assembly Election which created a history in Kerala Politics.

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) Party led by Pinarayi Vijayan won the Kerala Assembly election by winning 99 seats out of 140 seats. Congress party managed to get 41 seats and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) with 0 seats. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) expected minimum 2 seats in the Kerala Assembly Election. The Victory of The Left Democratic Front (LDF) party was predicted in the first half of the vote counting section only. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders like E Sreedharan, Kummanam Rajasekharan, K Surendran and Sobha Surendran were expecting their victory in this election.
