A new born baby died due to Covid-19 in Palghar district, Maharashtra after failing to get proper treatment in three hospitals in the district. The baby was born on May 31, 2021 with Covid-19 positive report. the baby was shifted to the hospital in Nashik District Hospital where the baby breathed the last. Third wave of Covid-19 is causing large number of children with severe life threatening problems. The baby was born in a private hospital in Saphale in Palghar Distrct, Maharashtra. Mother was tested negative for Covid-19 infection. The poor health of the baby and the shortfall of medical infrastructure in the region led to infant’s death.
